Greetings,
My name is Joe Yates president of Local 3050 UAW. We are a small local with just over 130 members. Our employer Autocar builds cab-over truck chassis mainly for waste industries. Other Union officers and I are working officers as we have to perform our Union duties, and work on the floor as well. This is not a problem for me as i feel that this keep me in touch with the membership. I am satisfied with my employment here and look foreword to seeing the company and union membership grow in the coming years ahead. I realize that we are in a weak economy right now and I have a positive feeling the this company will continue to grown and the local along with it. Having a negative attitude dose not do anybody good. I will close by saying that I wish all who reads this good health, and prosperity. I would like to stress that our union is only as good as there leadership and membership.
Sincerely, Joe Yats.
