As 2010 orders begin to slack, Autocar is forced to reduce truck production to 6 trucks a day. Also production lines will be shutdown on Mondays'. They are hopefull that the order shortage will not be significant enough to warrant a production Layoff.
Training will be available to those who wish to work on Monday's.
Hopefully this will only be temporary.

A massive, 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti near the capital of Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, January 12th. The damage to buildings is extensive and the number of injured or dead is estimated to be in the hundreds, even thousands. World Vision is on the ground rushing emergency supplies to survivors of this catastrophe.

In the event of severe weather, please tune in to the following stations and pay careful attention to any announcements for Autocar. The Autocar Hotline may also be accessed for updated information.
If a Level 3 snow emergency (emergency vehicles only) is declared by the local government for Wayne County, our facility will be closed. In all other situations, the plant will be open and operational unless reported otherwise.
